In this lesson… let me help you on Substitution Method. Earlier we had learned about types of circle and its importance. Now let me take you through with the introduction to substitution method.
Introduction of Substitution:
The substitution method is also one of the direct parts in algebra. Here we need to substitute the values in one variable. And we need to find the value of another variable.
This also helps us in rules of logarithms.
Example of substitution method:
2x-8y=168.
y=2x.
Solution:
Step1: Here the equation one is 2x-8y=168 and equation two is y=2x.
Step 3: So, 2x-8(2x) =168.
Step 4:2x-16x=168 (Now we need to find the x value)
Step 5: Therefore, 14x =168.
Step 6: 14 x =168(Now we divide using 14 on both the sides)
Step 7: So the value of x=12.
